A sun rise in my soul

On our arrival in the great capital of Japan, Tokyo, I felt that I was like a drop of water in the middle of the ocean thought that I was total stranger in this land and for the folk of this one. Tokyo can easily produce that effect on you with his gigantics buildings and his millions on people on the streets, coming here and going there. But, a little bit nervous, I was so excited and happy to be there, in the capital of one of the oldest and ancestral countries in the world, but the fact that makes me more happy was that I had the beautifull oportunity to help to guide those kids of Malli who certainly wouldn't travel again. I felt more lucky than them but it wasn't easy to be more suprise than them. I think I will never forget that chapter of my life as I will never forget those smiles on the children faces and their laugh. As they received me as one of them, the japanese orphans receive the malli's kids as members of their family. I think that family is the right word to describe how we felt together, fact that surprise me from people with totaly diferent culture and language, what made me think that we are al the same.

Three sun rise excursion...

After an entire week in Tokyo learning about the japanese culture and language, it was time to learn about their history. That's why I think that we were very lucky to be invited on a three days excursion in the country. Our first destination was the incredible mount Fuji from where we went to old capital of the ancient empire: Kyoto. Our jouney's ended in the port of Nagasaki.

The sunset in the land of the sunrise

The d-day had come, it was finally time to come back to my home. In the airport of Nagasaki, watching the plane of the kids which will bring them back to their land, I was thinking about all this year passed in Tokyo. During an entire year I had been witness of an incredible union beetween kids from Mali and japanese orphans. From those one, I have learned so much, about their culture based on the respect and work, about their way to see the rest of the world, but I have also learned about the Mali culture. Maybe this video let you feel what I felt with those kids:

It was now time to get on the plane and from my little window, I watched the plane bring me back to the west, to my country, where the sun set to rise another day.
